In almost a century of existence, Slovak Shipyards at Komárno have produced around 1,500 vessels. Currently in production are three types of cargo ship of the new Rýn, EMS and Rostock generation.
The 8-Crown stamp depicts a cargo ship of the Rhein type. Vessels of this type are used not only for river transport, but also operate on the open seas.
