The Scout Movement is a voluntary, nonpolitical, educational movement for young people, open to all without distinction of origin, race or creed, in accordance with the purpose, principles and methods set by Robert Baden-Powell, the Founder of the Scout Movement.

The first Slovak scout troops were established in spring 1919. 75th anniversary of foundation of Slovak Scouting was celebrated in 1944.

18th World Jamboree will be held on August 1995 in Netherlands.
