Aragonit cavern - Ochtiná is situated on the northwest side of the Horný Hrádok, i. e. between Jelšava and Štítnik in land - register of Ochtiná district. It was discovered in 1954 by miners during making gallery. The cavern with 300 m length was rose by chemical activities of atmospheric water, by extension of leaks and interlayer cervices in primitive mountains of crystalline limestones thereabouts contact with ankerit solid.

Panel of the cavern creates prevailingly limonitical ochre with different thicknesses. It is a residual dissolve of limestones, wetheret siderites and other ores positions. The cavern characterizes an unique crystalline decoration of aragonit. It occurs in snow-white crystalline forms and iron flower, that is different intricate white formations creates coiled, twisted and manifold fork like shrubby forms.

It is accessible for public from 1972 in 235 m length. In 1995 it became a part of the world natural heritage.
