The "Nature Conservation" series this year features three stamps depicting birds of prey. The rock eagle, peregrine falcon and eagle owl are among Slovakia´s protected species.
The eagle owl is to be found all over Slovakia and is protected throughout Europe in view of its diminishing numbers and the degree to which it is at risk.
