Legislative section

The Legislative Section provides methodological guidance and coordinates the preparation and drafting of generally binding legislation issued by the Ministry of Transport and Construction of the Slovak Republic, cooperating with specialised departments at the Ministry to develop it. The commenting process involves other central government bodies preparing opinions on drafts of generally binding legislation. The Legislative Section represents the Ministry of Transport and Construction of the Slovak Republic in conferences to resolve differences in opinion, at sessions of the Slovak Government Legislative Council and its permanent working committees, in negotiations with the Slovak Government and at committees of the National Council of the Slovak Republic when they discuss generally binding legislation drafted by the Ministry of Transport and Construction of the Slovak Republic. The Legislative Section also works for the Special Advisory Committee established by the Minister in accordance with Section 61 (2) of Act No. 71/1976 Coll. on Administrative Procedure (Administrative Code), as amended. This section develops opinions on requests made to interpret generally binding legislation executed by the Ministry of Transport and Construction of the Slovak Republic, in cooperation with the specialised departments. The Legislative Section issues notices regarding generally binding legislation transposing EU Directives to be sponsored or co-sponsored by the Ministry of Transport and Construction of the Slovak Republic.
