Minister - JUDr. Ing. Jozef Ráž

Minister Jozef Ráž is a graduate of the Faculty of Commerce at the University of Economics in Bratislava, majoring in International Trade, and a graduate of the Faculty of Law at Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica.

From 2005 to 2010, Mr. Ráž held various positions at the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic, including Director of the Office for Investments and Acquisitions and Director of the Organizational Department.

In 2011 and 2012, Mr. Ráž served as a public procurement specialist in the Bratislava Self-Governing Region. Simultaneously, from 2011 to 2016, he held several positions at Slovenská pošta (Slovak Post), ranging from Director of Section of Property Management and Director of Service Department to member of the company's Board of Directors.

During his tenure in these positions, Mr. Ráž served also as a member of the Board of the Public Procurement Office for three years.

From 2016 to 2020, Mr. Ráž worked as the Secretary General at the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic, becoming the longest-serving official in this position in Slovakia.

Prior to his appointment as Minister of Transport, Mr. Ráž applied his extensive managerial experience in private sector. He managed his companies BAROK Hotel & Apartments, Baroza Restaurant & Bistro, and Pro Prios Medical Center over the past three years.
